Craniosacral Therapy

A Journey Toward Healing

Your Body, Your Soul, Your Mind

Craniosacral therapy has been around for over 30 years. It was established by John a Pledger, who was a doctor of osteopathic medicine. This therapy has grown and is continuing to grow in recognition of the healing benefits that happen when you receive cranial sacral therapy.

Ephesians 5:25 says “Husbands love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish but holy and blameless.” Craniosacral therapy actually helps us to get the wrinkles out of our soul. It’s a therapy that has a paradigm in which we practice neutrality, nonjudgmental and grounding. What does that mean? That means we create a safe container for you to allow healing to happen through invitation, just like the Holy Spirit invites us into healing. Craniosacral therapy is also an invitation to allow your body, your soul and your mind to go through a healing process.

When we hold a neutral space with craniosacral therapy, it allows a patient to feel as though they are in control of their own process. It’s very vulnerable to go through healing. If we feel out of control, we often put our feet in and stop the process because we don’t feel safe. So in this paradigm of neutrality, it is going to create a safe container for you to look at things from a lens of love, and truly from a lens of the Holy Spirit.

Aubrey tells her patients all the time that craniosacral therapy to her is the practice of listening and following the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit is always moving. The Holy Spirit is always moving differently. And we as believers have to, over time, learn to discern how the spirit is moving and be pliable to that movement, no matter how it looks. If we have wounds in our flesh, wrinkles in our flesh, we oftentimes will allow fear, doubt, unbelief, anxiety, depression, all sorts of things in our unconscious mind that hasn’t been renewed to prevent us from allowing the spirit to actually move fully through our life.

As we go through this process of craniosacral therapy, it is a gentle touch, hands on healing that allows us to begin to gently and safely look at traumatic events from our past emotion, all wounds, beliefs and thought patterns that are hindering us from wholeness. We each have the capacity in our soul to allow for healing. But again, we have to allow the invitation to come. We then have to say yes to the invitation, and we have to hook arms with the invitation and continue to walk out a process of healing. This is a daily activity, just like Jesus tells us, to pick up our cross and die to ourselves daily. This therapy is going to help us to gently understand what it looks like to lay down your life and die of your flesh and allow your soul to be healed so that your soul can get in alignment with the Spirit of God who resides within you. When you say yes to Christ, you can move boldly through the world to glorify Jesus.

Husbands love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish but holy and blameless.
